I am a Court Reporter working in Peel Region, out of both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice.

In an attempt to branch out, I would be pleased to transcribe videotaped or audiotaped interviews for your use in court. Having a transcript makes it easier for the Justice to follow along. This process entails my taking the tape home, playing it on my own equipment while dictating into my stenomask and then creating the transcript from my own recording. A certification identical to that at the end of a transcript is then put on at the end.

There is no charge for the hours involved in this service. The cost is the same as the cost of a transcript, $3.20 per page for the first copy and $0.55 per page for each additional copy.
